Communication Department
Headed by Aida Lorca Arce
Since Aida was a child, she had an extraordinary interest in international conflicts and reporting. With the aim of becoming a war journalist one day, she enrolled in the Double Degree in Journalism and International Relations at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, where she has been part of the Debate Society. She has worked in the Communication Department of a multinational company, represented NGOs in international meetings to promote women’s rights, and engaged European leaders in a pan-European colloquium.
Now, as a senior student, she wants to specialize in international security, intelligence and strategic studies, as she is highly concerned about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Diplomacy Department
Headed by Raquel Lorente Arévalo
Raquel has always been interested in encounters with other cultures, which is why she decided to study a year abroad in Ireland during high school. This experience, in addition to her attentiveness in the law field, led her to study International Relations, Law and Integral Leadership at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria. She is passionate about the Asia-Pacific region, and therefore a member of the Society of Asian Studies UFV; as well as about international security and defense, and private international law.
In order to gain experience in these fields, she has been awarded an internship at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specifically at the Office of the Deputy Director of International Security Affairs.
Finance Department
Headed by Iván Santo Tomás López
Iván is keen on international relations, economics and finance. He studied International Relations and Business Administration at Universidad Pontificia de Comillas. On the IR side, he has specialized in intelligence analysis by Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and he is currently studying a master's degree in International Security, Peace and Defense at Instituto Gutiérrez Mellado (UNED).
On the business side, he is developing a professional career at Ernst and Young (EY) as a financial auditor and assistant in the financial due diligence process of small asset acquisitions in the energy sector. Iván is currently developing a synergic, hybrid and symbiotic knowledge in security and defense and business finance.
