Violence against Indian women

India is the most dangerous country for women, especially due to two main factors: sexual violence and labor slavery. According to a study published by the Thompson Reuters Foundation, based on the responses of 550 experts in gender issues, globally, and in matters of insecurity, the Asian country is placed above nations that are usually immersed in conflicts, such as Syria or Afghanistan, followed by Somalia and Saudi Arabia. In this ranking, the United States is in last place.
According to this report, India's status as the world's most dangerous state for women is since the government, as well as the authorities, and even non-governmental actors such as international organizations, have not done enough to combat the unprecedented threats to women in Indian society.
